Qualifiers

AFC

Thailand, Iran, China and Japan are Asia's qualifiers after reaching the semi-finals of the tournament between 11 and 18 May in Bangkok.

    CAF

    The CAF Futsal Championships, which served as a qualifier for the FIFA Futsal World Cup was held between 21-30 March in Tripoli, Libya. By reaching the final, Egypt and Libya qualified for Brazil 2008.

      UEFA

      Six teams from UEFA have qualified for Brazil 2008 following a preliminary competition in March and April of 2008. They are: Russia, Spain, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Portugal and Italy.

        CONCACAF

        Guatemala, Cuba and the United States reached the FIFA Futsal World Cup Brazil 2008 after finishing first, second and third respectively at the CONCACAF qualifying tournament in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

          OFC

          The Solomon Islands emerged victorious from a seven team tournament which included Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Tuvalu and Vanuatu which took place between 8 and 14 June at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, Fiji.

          CONMEBOL

          Three teams qualified for Brazil 2008 from South America in the qualifying series, held in Uruguay in June. They are: Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

            Host Country

            The host country qualifies automatically.
